I dropped into my Audio Dealer today in Aus, as i wanted a closer look at the Halo, to go with my Alpine speakers that they had already fitted.

But I really liked the Kenwood layout, HD screen and user interface over the Halo.

Not sure if my dealer is 100% correct, but he said that Kenwood are bringing out a 9-10 inch Halo HD style screen at CES2020

Maybe Jason can chime in, as he might know a little more, I can see why he sells a lot of Kenwood headunits, after playing around with them, really nice interface on them and that HD screen is a peach

Well CES is underway

so far it looks like a 11 inch alpine is on the way, as well as a 10 inch pioneer unit, no news on kenwood’s offering yet.

It looks like the 11 inch alpine will be $1200 usd

I’ll have to start saving as well, although I’m excited to see what kenwood brings to the table, after playing around with there interface, it’s a lot nicer than the alpine interface.

well Kenwood didn’t bring out anything really new, I do like the new pioneer halo type unit.

it has a slightly lower profile than the halo 11, and has a HD screen as the alpine halo is still sporting a 800x400 pix screen.

I do like the new integrated dash cam options for the alpine though.

still I’m looking forwards to seeing them in the flesh.

Well, i came across the Kenwood Halo type head unit today and i managed to find a pic of the upcoming 10.1 inch unit



It doesn't look as streamlined as the Pioneer unit, its more like the curvier Alpine 11 inch unit, but with a round centre knob for volume or scrolling.

It is also a double DIN unit, compared to the pioneer and alpine models.
