I’ve searched but not found an answer;
I’ve got a 2023 T6.1 with the cheaper head unit that doesn’t have Sat Nav.
So Im using Waze on my phone in a holder as my Sat Nav; data comes from a MiFi box.
It works fine apart from the audio.
id like the audio to come through the van speakers but have hit a problem:
My contract phone is quite cheap and is based on Android Go edition rather than Android.
That means it isn’t compatible with Android Auto which is only on the full fat version of Android.
Now I can connect my phone via Bluetooth and hear Waze give me directions through the van speakers when I’ve got Bluetooth as the source.
However, If I want to listen to the radio then the Waze directions stop broadcasting, due to the source changing.
So is that just the way it is? Or is there some setting that I can tick somewhere so that Bluetooth audio can interrupt the radio?
Currently my workaround is to have Waze directions come through my phone speaker on max, whilst I’m listening to the radio at a low volume, but it’s far from ideal.
