Bike Rack

hi all, have a 150 combi. thinking of buying a bike rack, worried if the van will still fit in garage. how much length does it add when closed? only intend to leave rack on over summer months. thanks in advance.

What sort of bike rack you after? I assume youre refering to something like a fiamma that bolts to the van door itself but you may also mean a tow bar mount.

thinking standard vw bike rack as sold in forum shop.

I have the newer style (square) VW rack and, when folded, it extends 34cm from the VW badge on the tailgate. Hard to singlehandedly measure what this means for increase in overall length but I’d say it sticks out about 25 cm beyond the bumper or about 13cm beyond my towball.
