BCM communication issues

Hoping someone can help me out with my current nightmare. I'll try keep this as short as I can. For context my van is a 2017 ex AA T6.
I bought a replacement battery due to the existing being dead. However, after changing when running the alternator was no longer charging the new battery. After a little research I put this down to the smart alternator not recognising the new battery so went ahead and bought an Obdeleven to register the new battery to the van. However, after connecting to the van, Obdeleven was unable to communicate with ID61, ID19, ID09, ID04 meaning I am unable to register the new battery to the van.
I can't seem to find any information on why this may be the case so I'm hoping someone on here may be able to shed some light!

Ignition was ON?
Did OBDeleven communicate with the other controllers? Please post a complete scan of the van.
Yeah ignition was on. I've uploaded the screen shots of the faults that came up and also the modules that Obdeleven was and wasn't able to communicate with.

Many newly supplied batteries aren’t adequately charged, have you tried attaching a stand alone charger. Negative to the chassis so that it charges through the shunt.

Yeah I've had a charger hooked up to the battery during scanning so it's definitely not battery level. Am I right in saying that it charges through the shunt regardless as the shunt is located on the mini busbar linked to the battery terminal clamp.

No the negative connection needs to be on the chassis normally.

Yes that’s the circuit, on a vehicle the chassis generally provides the negative path. You can connect anywhere on the van, wherever you can access without damaging components. Be sure that it’s bare metal and not insulated from the rest of the chassis.
