BCM communication issues

Hoping someone can help me out with my current nightmare. I'll try keep this as short as I can. For context my van is a 2017 ex AA T6.
I bought a replacement battery due to the existing being dead. However, after changing when running the alternator was no longer charging the new battery. After a little research I put this down to the smart alternator not recognising the new battery so went ahead and bought an Obdeleven to register the new battery to the van. However, after connecting to the van, Obdeleven was unable to communicate with ID61, ID19, ID09, ID04 meaning I am unable to register the new battery to the van.
I can't seem to find any information on why this may be the case so I'm hoping someone on here may be able to shed some light!

Got a picture of the starter battery and connections?
