Hi guys,

My battery died on Friday, a new one has been fitted but hasn’t been coded - I have a stop start not possible error.

Do I simply need to go into gateway - adaptation and change a number on the battery serial for the ecu to register a new battery has been fitted?

Or is there any more to do?

Thanks.

  • OBDeleven > Connect > Control Units > 61-Battery Regulation > Long Adaptation > Channel 4 >
  • (Tap and hold on value to copy into New value)
  • Change Battery Size if needed
  • No need to change battery vendor - doesn't make any difference on T6
  • Change Battery Serial Number (just one digit is enough, or preferably put today's date into serial number)

Thanks mmi - have just done this and worked perfectly, just needed to ‘test’ before writing.

No mention of battery type?
For a Euro6 with a smart alternator the only types that should be fitted are EFB or AGM which have the same charging profile.

If changing all you need to do is to update the capacity (if changed) and change the serial number (value is irrelevant but the change resets the learned health data from the old battery and starts fresh)
