Battery Flat now nothing works and not even vcds

Hi
Looking for any help on this problem.
My battery was dead flat when i went to the van yesterday, having not been anywhere for 4 weeks....
Tried to jump it with a power pack but that was no good.
Had the battery on charge overnight and it appears to be holding a voltage but now the half the electrics are not working - no central locking no internal lights no external lights no radio etc.
Put key in ignition and dash lights up, needle sweep, etc and engine management light comes on, also says brakes failure workshop.
Tried to start and it fires up and then cuts out and will not start again.
Plug in VCDS and it can't even see anything no modules etc.
I've tried to look at fuses cant see anything obvious.
Any ideas ??

I'm all fixed now after a bit more googling.
If anyone was interested i disconnected the terminals to the battery and shorted the vehicle wiring together to reset and hey presto! I was greeting with my alarm going off.
Now all appears to be working ok, vcds is good and reset all the fault codes
