Attaching semi-flex solar panel using twinwall polycarbonate

So I’ve just fitted an 80w panel from Lensun on Twinwall. The Twinwall is fixed to the roof using VHB tape and the panel fixed to the Twinwall using plastic bolts through the eyelets. My thinking is if the panel fails I’ll just unbolt it from the Twinwall and fit another one and I’ll have plenty of airflow under the panel
OK. I want to know.... did this stay fixed to your roof?

Yep all good still, done a fair few miles with it on, the secret I think is good quality tape, clean surfaces and warm weather when installing
Looks grear. Can i ask excalty what fixings you used please? Still going strong?
I've got a long 200w panel that i want to put lenthways down the middle of the pop top.

thanks

I used VHB tape to fix the twin wall to the roof and used plastic nuts and bolts to attach the panel to the twin wall through the eyelets that were on the panel. I also used a very thin bit of VHB tape between the panel and twin wall on the leading edge just to stop any wind getting between the two

Where is everyone getting the thin wall sheets from?

Are you fixing to a poptop or a steel roof? I have to say the idea of tape worries me. Doesn't it degrade quite quickly over time? Saying that, the mess Sikamix leaves you with when removing the panel worries me too!

What plastic bolts did you use and how did you fix them in the twinwall? Thanks.

I am thinking of using 6mm twinwall, but struggling to find anywhere local that does the right size in stock. Or online with a massive delivery fee. Found these at Toolstation (if your UK). Solstice Twinwall Polycarbonate Sheet Clear 6mm.
I'm leaning on using tape, looks like that's what some people use around the world. Used on cars for the life of the vehicle.
Just need to find some nylon nuts, bolts and caps for the nut head. Maybe a dab of silcone on the thread to act as nut lock? i dunno

Thanks matey, think a few of us are interested in your install. nice one

I bought the bolts from a Spalding Fasteners, M10 I think, the VHB tape off Amazon and the twin wall from tool station but it was sent from Clear Amber. The panel is an 80w from Lensun Solar -
