Are the T6 biturbo as problematic as the T5.1?

As per the title really, are the T6 biturbo as problematic as the T5.1? EG does the EGR and engine s**t itself and you’ve got a lovely £10k bill.

I’ve seen a couple of Kombis that fit my wish list but put off buying a biturbo after the horror stories. Even if the engine/egr is now better on the T6 I’ve read replacing the turbo is rather expensive due to location.

Early T6 share the same 180 BiTurbo engine as the 5.1 and suffer the same self ingestion issues but think it was only for months not years of T6 production and it quickly switched to the newer 204 BiTurbo engine which is not so problematic but does have its own issues that can lead to engine replacement but think it’s a lot less common !
