Just like to give a big thank you to Sunset Derby VW specialist ……Started with a consultation regarding the turbo and so I booked it in…
Engine was removed to allow fitting of new turbo along with all gaskets and pipe work and a very long list of bits and bobs…all fluids changed.
Given the consultation made me aware of the expected end price…so no shocks ( had to replace long Egr pipe as it broke on removal so no big deal )
They gave the van a clean bill of health…so no more turbo boost issues
Just completed a 70 mile return trip… runs better than ever……
Ps .. turbo had issue with vanes catching due to bearing wear….the new Biturbo has been superseded 03N 145 704 L
