Anyone up for an airbag swap?

I'm swapping my (single) passenger seat to a bench and I understand the dash airbags are different in size.
I'm after 7E2880202D. Is anyone out there doing the reverse conversion and needs the single airbag?

It’s unlikely someone going single to double would want to swap unfortunately. Having a double airbag for a single seat is fine, so they just leave it. Also it then fine to go back to double if needed. I’m sorry if that’s not a lot of help.
Edit: I obviously mean double to single.

Yeah, get your point. Worth asking though, lol.
Another thought though, is the dash likely to be different to accommodate a different size airbag? Usually there's a breakable section for the airbag to deploy.

I couldn't answer that sorry. I've never heard it mentioned, so maybe it is the same.

Dash is the same, the airbag has a rectangular mount on the underside with four bolts holding the airbag unit in place, airbags are the same size and have the same fixings

What about trying some of the specialists on ebay - Kernow, Cotswold T6. Some seem to break vehicles.

Interestingly I've been told "No the Airbags are the same just superseded part numbers"

Left me even more confused.

Logic says to me there's going to be a difference.
A way to find out for sure is to phone a VW parts dept with the reg/vin number of. your van and one with a 2 seater bench seat and ask them the part numbers/prices.

Thought it was worth posting this.

You can see the difference in sizes between the single and double passenger airbag.

The swap is straightforward and it's definitely peace of mind when converting from a single to a twin seat up front.

Posting the part numbers might be helpful to others…
I managed to track down a dual passenger bag last week. Swapping it out was easy enough...glove box out and passenger storage shelf then 4 torx bolts.
Pauly posted the different part number on his picture above, 7E2880202E is for a RHD double-seat and 7E0880204G for a single.
