Anyone running 20s and lowered driving in London

Hi all,

New to the forum and just purchased a T6 in grey with the comfort dash which transforms the interior. My question is I work in London everyday and have the purchased 40mm H&R springs but really want 20s. My concern is the roads in London are not ideal and wondered would it be better to stick with 18s. Looking at either the silver Sportlines or the Springfields if I go 18. Anyone drive in London with a modded t6?

I'm not sure the London roads are any worse than elsewhere - at least not noticeably to me.

For what its worth, I have 20s on my Kombi with a 50mm drop and while I only drive into London a couple of times a month, I would say the roads out on the Bucks/Berks/Oxon border are equal if not worse.

I suppose it depends where you are driving, but my run in up the M40/A40 are pretty smooth in comparison with my local roads.

I can easily see how supercar owners may consider road surfaces when driving certain routes but van drivers?!

Surely a van is a utility vehicle?

It should be able to drive onto campsites, fields, building sites, beaches and more.

The mind boggles...

My concern is i have a GTR with 20s and in comfort feels nicer than my transporter on 16s so can only imagine 20s on the t6 to be a nightmare.

Thanks the GTR is some car! Just had it's running in service so feeling the full potential now :) and yes I'm sure it has your right about the suspension polzeylad. That was my concern about the 20s on transporter, I don't think I want B14s on my work van. I bit the bullet and bought some 18" Springfields and should get them next week.

GTR...My favourite car, I am so jealous, I virtually cream my shorts every time I see one.:notworthy::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Good choice; definitely my favourite 18s.

I'm even cautious with my more modest M135i on 18s!

The Subaru Outback we have on 16s; I literally AIM for Potholes :D

OMG chap, that is the best colour I have ever seen, that is AWESOME. Just nipping somewhere, I may be some time.:thumbsup:
Thanks Davey. It's a new colour for the 2017 model. I was really debating on orange or white but was a tad brave.

A great pair.
I've heard the new interior is leagues ahead of the old one. And it's faster. Looks great.
Nice van too!
Yes it's a massive improvement. Love your conversion too, I'd love to buy one one day and travel around with the family looks cool

Really love that and what a life travelling around to those lovely places. I don't blame you for getting VW to do it I'd probably do the same and awesome having 4motion.

Yes Davey it looks fast standing still I dare try the launch control

Paul; your name reversed is a chain of very posh car (mostly Ferrari) dealers; any connection?!

Yep we (me, wife, two kids) get 5-6 weeks every Summer to do a Euro tour (ferry to Santander) which is rather nice!
