The general way of doing things is to fit a false window to that panel. It's going to look odd having glass in the rear quarter, but not in the mid panel.

What tint do you want? Pretty much all bonded, structural glass has the black border.
I think that most doing what you are considering would have a total black out fake middle window with a 80% tint in the rear quarter.
