Anyone have Digital cockpit and latest update?

In the latest software on the T6.1, Google maps directions now show in my MFD, which never used to be the case. I was wondering if this also now means there is more shown on the digital cockpit? Anyone got one with latest software and able to confirm? It’s one of the things I’ve been toying with getting done, but the lack of CarPlay map did put me off a little.

Hi mate, carplay map doesn't show in virtual cockpit and doubt it ever with due to the bandwidth capability of the data line used between the headunit and virtual cockpit. It did it in the Audi TT but that's because VC was also the radio screen and communicated using optical connection called MOST

Cheers Chris. Have you noticed a difference recently tho with it now showing directions in the middle? There’s a thread on the California forum about this changing recently. Unclear if it’s a CarPlay update or Vw

Must be carplay I run android and it's always done that

I run CarPlay and mine shows directions in the middle always has

My 2025 transit connect/caddy work van shows CarPlay directions on the IC

I haven’t got digital cockpit yet, but my MFD shows directions when using CarPlay. It never used to on the old van but couldn’t tell you when it started! Just happens automatically.
