Virtual cockpit problem.

Hi, hopefully this is posted in the right section, sorry if I haven’t.

I’m after a bit of advice please.

I had a virtual cockpit fitted in my T6.1 about a year ago, today I’ve taken it into VW for a service and they say they’ve done a software update on the discover media. Now I have no nav on my cockpit just a compass with the van on it, and I have no options for it in my cluster settings.

Anyone had this before?

Unfortunately when VW do updates it can reset coding back to factory settings, if that’s what they have done then you will need VCDS or similar to redo the settings.
Best bet is prob to take it back to whoever did the digi dash for you and ask them nicely to sort it

@antony.charnley - i need to get my 2018 T6 Dash sorted soon, now i have it back.

Would VW not be able to get it working again as it was full functional before it went to them, It’s only the same as what’s in my friends sportline.

If not does anyone have any recommendations for someone I can take it to in the Nottingham/Derby area.

Had this with aftermarket reversing camera and couple other bits. VW sorted it. I think they know a lot of vans are updated so I’d ask them before you go anywhere else. Not sure what coding is needed for digidash tho it could be more complex

I've been working with the manufacturer to develop supply and fit over 300 digidash. What you have is not OEM, and VW will not help you, unless I'm mistaken and you do have a screen with a permanent temperature gauge down the left hand side and the permanent fuel gauge down the right hand side but I think if you compare your dash view to other digital dashboard original vehicles It may not be the same. I'm just going off the compass with the vehicle so you describe if you press the down button do you per chance see either a blue screen for screen mirror or maybe a navigation with no input message?

In which case vw should know what’s needed. Did you ask them if they could sort it? Wasn’t a problem with my local when they screwed some settings

Yeah I’ve asked, got to wait till Monday for the tech that did it for an answer. If that fails the company that installed it have said they will sort it.
