I’ve got myself some Amarok wheels they need refurbishing is there a colour that Vw use on the wheels because I really like the bright silver ?

I wonder if there is a specific colour identification from vw....I also would like to know so I can touch up after new weights after wheel balances....cheers.

Apparently there isn't. You would need to take your wheel and get the paint custom matched at a paint specialist.

Are you going down the powder coat route or are you looking at getting them sprayed?
If your powder coating you will be very lucky to get OEM colour.
Spraying the wheels as skyliner33 says will get the factory OEM colour as they can colour match by mixing.

@T6180 has the name of the Silver powder coat that he uses. It's not a factory colour, but it's a nice normal Silver with a high fleck of metallic, so looks almost factory, but better.
I see little point trying to hunt out the exact colour VW used, when there are so many shades of Silver, and no one would ever know anyway, so just pick the most enhanced.

Part of the problem is VW do not only use 1 shade of silver. The paint guy I went to told me that the VW wheels are lots of different shades anyway, that is why he would need my wheel to colour match rather than a generic mix from a paint code.

I use platinum silver

I have a brand new set of 255/45/19 winters ready to go on the Cantera's I recently bought. As normal I charged in and bought the same tyre size that fitted on my 19" summer wheels which are 9.5s - without thinking, I'm now thinking !!! My vote is 255 .......

I'll address that issue once I've decided what colour to have the Cantera's powder coated. Van is Indium grey, any recommendations on the wheels ?

I vote silver

Popped these on today. I wanted to see them on to decide on silver or black.

Decision made, they'll be coming off at the end to the ski season and powder coated satin black.

255/45/R19 with 15mm spacers on the rear. There's a bit bulge but I'm ok with that for for my winter setup, it could save some tears.

Hi all!
What colour are your cantera alloys? I’ve just purchased a set which need a refurb, and not sure if I should keep them white or go grey or even black!!
Please post pics of your different colours for inspiration!!

Silver shows off the shape better than any other colour. Plus, I always think that colour changed wheels make them look like they have had a hard previous life.

silver or black for me (off of a white van)
always best to keep it 'simple(s)'
