Air con on all the time

After using the air con a few weeks ago it now seems to be on all the time regardless of whether the button is pressed (and light on). Van is 2018 startline with basic heating controls and aircon on a button.

I’ve had a search via google and the forum search and not found anything specific.

Any suggestions?

If the control is directing air to the windscreen, then the aircon is automatically turned on - it isn’t that is it ?

Could be - when I turn the direction control from say feet to windscreen, the air con button light comes on. It was on windscreen but I’d pressed the button so the light went off.

Does the AC still run even when turned off when directed to the windscreen?

I’ll move the control in the morning before I start it and see what happens?!

Yes. When the airflow is on windscreen you cannot switch aircon off, even pressing the button to make the light go out, it still stays on.

Air-Con question re: windscreen

Well that's sounding better... Try leaving it running a while longer.. It will take a while for the AC rad etc to return to normal.. Mine normmaly gets really humid and smells a bit ac - dampness for a few mins after switching ac off but leave blowers running...... The thing is ANY fault...
