ad blue newby advice

i have a 2019 t6 and have had it for a month or so, i havent had a sign on screen ,saying top up, with ad blue,, shall i put some in or what ? done about 400 miles in it runs fine as well

There's a screen on the MFD which shows your current range and the suggested top up volume Min/Max. Flick through to find it.
Aim for the min or just above but never the max and absolutley not over the max.
Loads of threads on here about how overfilling causes issues.

Also, set the refill units to litres to avoid any confusion between US gallons and imperial gallons.

And make sure you stick it in the ad blue hole and not the diesel. Yes people have done this.

Probably don't need the additives.
VW don't advise it and from what I've read, the smarts on this forum is still split as to whether it has any use/detriment.
Personal choice though.

Whatever you do, follow the instructions. If it says xyz gallons, put in xyz gallons. We get folk who chuck in a litre instead because they think they think instructions don't apply to them and then wonder why it throws a sulk.
