A reality check on van security and faux masculinity.

The OP in this thread is what's known in internet land as a 'Troll', and their original post, whilst making a few reasonable points, is 'trolling' the forums membership for reactions and feeding off them, in particular causing a, mostly, male oriented membership, to question their own masculinity and explicit fears around the theft of a clearly cherished item, plus their ability to protect their own household.

No....the OP made a satirical poke at how crap humans are and the daft things we men say and believe about ourselves.
Including myself.

For the record @.50 , an "Internet troll" is someone who leaves a shitty comment on an OPs thread to antagonize or just be a massive A-hole....and I dont do that, I dont comment on anyone's posts...because I mind my bloody business....like you ought to.

Also I dont think the grown ups here need you to explain how internet land works...most of them all know how it works.... well...they all know where the porn is anyway.

You sound like you just timewarped here from the 1960s and you're trying to blend in.

"The OP has cleverly used access to some kind of internet capable electronic computing device....."

I don't know how we all managed before you joined and began to share all your good advice with us.
You probably just scoured the threads looking for some other new face to bully.
Like you and your pooches are doing on my threads.
Still... smiley laughing face emoji...thumbs up.... great comment.

@Crazymind I'm now long retired but, having used them at work, I've always liked Glocks including the 19 (but always thought the 34 to be a bit unwieldy). As for the Mossberg, every chap should own at least one pump gun for home defence. The Ruger's a bit of an off the wall choice but I seem to recall that a much older model was often the weapon of choice for Hannibal Smith and The A Team so they must be alright. On the subject of The A team, I certainly would have wanted to try breaking into any of their houses (or their van when it comes to it even though it wasn't a VW).

Had to get the Ruger Because Hannibal Smith had one
I agree with you about the Glock 34. Not my first choice but it saved my ass twice in Afghanistan.

Yeah...so... I once put a banana in my pocket and pointed it at someone whilst shouting 'stick em up'

Ok that's not true....

It wasn't a banana.....

I am beginning to wonder why you have joined the forum. You appear to be more disposed to ranting than T6 stuff - you should be able to join a forum better suited to your keyboard skills.
Oh I joined your forum to be friends with you and your pals. So we can all agree and be accepted into the cool clique.
Please accept me... please...

I personally preferred the Glock 17 and MP5 in my line of work, but canine teeth gave greater satisfaction and less chance of losing my 'job'

You are the epitome of an Internet troll, and clearly enjoying the waves you are creating in this thread.

I won't be responding further to your thread as trolls are best left unfed.
I just push back against trolls mate. Dont want to read my threads dont and dont comment on them...I'm not here for your approval boy.

Sorry to be blunt but you sound like a right dick who likes winding people up the wrong way! I totally agree and have commented before on posts if you don’t like them then you don’t have to keep reading them but it seems like you are just out for a reaction but coming across a right p***k!!

Definition of a internet troll from bulliesout.com (my bold):

‘A Troll is a term for a person, usually anonymous, who deliberately starts an argument or posts inflammatory or aggressive comments with the aim of provoking either an individual or a group into reacting.

The phrase was coined after a fishing term meaning that basically they (the troll) attach their bait (their comment) and wait for others to bite.

The final line of the original post:
I can't wait to read the comments on this one.

You say,

T6 forum has a reputation for flaming new faces, theres a clique, like in a primary school playground.

then in 3 days put posts clearly aiming for a reaction. That’s an odd thing to do in my opinion. Have you a bet with someone? You’ve misjudged the forum and maybe could have taken some time to get a feel for it and the people here.

I couldn't give a rats botty about your social structure, the schoolyard political structure or whos a big deal because they have a little badge next to their name.
I understand forums my friend, full of snowflakes and middle aged men behaving like bitchy women..... im not here for that... you can cry all you like.

Simple trick, go to your settings, block my content and then you won't get upset will you.
And how youve managed to get upset over the 3 threads I've started says an awful lot about your delicate disposition.

Don't like what I post about?....dont read it. Then nobody can complain.

Now stop being a troll and leave me be.

You don't need to follow me making comments.

I don't know you, but you haven't come over on this thread at all well!
You have condescendingly referred to well respected forum members (who have previously provided informative posts and useful feedback) in a very negative tone.
I didn't find your original post particularly offensive or worthy of comment, but your subsequent comments seem to consist of attempts at making offensive or controversial comments.
This makes me thing that you'd be better off being quiet unless you have something constructive or friendly to say.
That's what pretty much everyone else in the forum does and that has worked well for years!
