A little wave makes you feel good.

I’ve done my first real journey yesterday and today - yesterday I was too tense and terrified to take both my hands off the wheel (not used to driving a van)… today much more relaxed on my drive down to Brean / Burnham and Sea so had my eye out but didn’t spot any T6s… saw a lovely T4 but was behind so no waving

Not had one yet, is that because mine is currently a panel van, all be it lowered with bright shiny sportlines. Maybe I need to hang a surfboard out the back to qualify for a wave.
I guess that trades people with panel vans that use them day in day out have got fed up with waving (if they even did in the first place) Hence the leisure driver of Transporters now finds them unreseptive to waves and dont bother any longer. I must admit I no longer have the same enthusiasm for waving as when I had my first van, of course when I see another bay leaf green van I wave furiously like I am drowning.

Just hang a little gaily coloured garland from your rearview mirror and you will increase your incoming wave count. Or put an inflatable pink flamingo on your dash for a more interesting response..

Just arrived in Oban for a whistle-stop tour of Scotland's west coast (on me tod, as missus has buggered off to Belfast for a girly weekend).

So far the wave stats stand at:

Waves initiated by others: 1 (I missed it, dammit - couldn’t respond quick enough and only managed a head nod, as if on a motorbike )

Waves initiated by me: 6
Waves received in response: 4
