01520 Rain and light recognition sensor

Recently had headliner off my T6 (2018) and now my automatic wipers are not working with the carista error: 01520 Rain and light recognition sensor. I have looked at the connection to sensor and it is fully plugged in to the sensor with no obvious damage. Code wont clear. I get one swipe when activated but nothing else

My auto headlights are working but seem to stay on during the day also


Is there a fuse somewhere and would I still get one swipe if the fuse was faulty?

Any ideas/help etc?

Does anyone know If there is a clear silicone disc that is supposed to sit between the windscreen and the rain sensor ?
