Hi there,
Anybody know where I can get replacement rubber seals that go on the sliding sidewindows ? Like many others suffering with leaks and one seal is damaged so like to replace.
Regards
Hi folks.
As part of my ongoing conversion I am replacing both leaky sidewindows.
I am going to use a cheesewire type tool to remove the old windows. This will leave a residue. How do I remove this residue and how long should it take?
I am fed up of waiting for a fully dry day and want to crack on.
Hi, in the last few months I have noticed the floor wet after prolonged rain, it is the sliding glass panel on the O/S other side is fine .
Is this a common problem and is it fixable without replacement, these are factory windows I always found this side was a pig to close and needs careful...
Why do you want a Kombi in particular for a regular side layout conversion? Is it mainly windows? The factory fit windows are notoriously leaky, and fitting your own is easy, cheap, and they don’t leak.
Hi all.
Does anyone have access to a video that shows how to remove the rear sliding window sections from a T6.1 please?
I have a leak on both sides and have found a video that shows a logical cause and fix but I cannot for the life of me find a video showing me how to get the sliding window off...
...and modification. I hope a couple of you will be able to help.
I have a T6 2016 Kombi LWB with what seems to be the standard leakingsidewindows. I've tried all the resolutions previously mentioned and have discovered they are both corroded behind the seals. drivers side has now been made...
So my windows are still nice and leak free, well - almost.
On my driver's sidewindow (which was the one leaking the most and on which I fixed the drain) I was noticing a few droplets on the lower half of the front of the sliding part, just behind the plastic 'guard' running vertically.
We had...
Hi everyone,
I have noticed that there must be some sort of leak on the rear driver (RHD) side sliding door of my 2016 Caravelle.
It is fine in rain, but after I power wash the van or take it through the carwash, there will be some damp on the driver's side blind. I do not wash the van often...
I've got water coming in from somewhere in my driver's side sliding door, which is running down and ending up sitting on the seal around the door step, like this:
Which looked like this when I removed the door card, side step and seal:
Now, I do have sliding windows, and the little catch...
Same problem my vans converted but with no pop top when it’s really cold the windscreen steams up, sometimes it’s frozen inside, but the all the sidewindows are ok
There’s no leaks
I had a THQ T6 flush fitting sidewindow delivered on Friday. Got a fitter coming tomorrow to fit it. I had it out of the box today just to have a look at it. There is some sideways movement on the opening section when it’s shut and flush. The oem window leaks but there is no movement in the...
Do I need an opening window immediately above the gas hob burner, its a SWB and will have sliders behind the driver seat and on the sliding door so ventilation will be close but was planning on fixed windows on the rear side quarters where the hob will sit. Also anybody used the Just Campers...
You can see it here in this picture
Looks like the window zip up panel has been 'repaired' or maybe it's been taped up because it was leaking? If both sides are the same that's a little strange.
Hi All , I removed my rubber load mat a couple of weeks ago to ply my floor and it was pretty wet under there , both my sliding windows were leaking so I assumed it was from them. I managed to stop the windows from leaking but today I removed the load lashing points to lay the altro flooring and...
Hi all,
Got my panel van booked in for a Kombi conversion at the end of the month and am going round in circles on window options.
As it stands, I’m leaving the rear quarter panels alone - van is starlight blue so I don’t think the windows will stand out hugely.
First off I was going fixed on...
Right then.
"New (old) and improved™" window seals with 4mm foam cord inserts, fitted fully to both sliding windows.
Drivers side front drain now fully sealed, had to seal up new leaks twice after the first application of sealant.
And... Success.
The drivers side is now now longer leaking at...
I’ve had both my sidewindows replaced and they’re still leaking in the same place, been back to the dealership 7 times and they still can’t fix them, and now they’re saying there’s nothing else they can do, the van is almost 3 years old
