Wolfbox Pro turned up today.
Is there an easy way of getting the wires down to the fuse box?
Once at the bottom of the A pillar, is there easy access into the fuse box for routing the wires?

I got this pic off the forum that I will use for reference (t6.1)

Think I went down passenger A pillar, into dash, across/behind glovebox and then your at the fuse box

Think its just left of the centre from memory or at least it was on a T6. got a Crafter now so cant go and check

T6.1 is by your right knee while driving. Poked it behind the trim all the way down then earthed it underneath the steering wheel. You doing the rear view too?

Yeah, I’ve bought it mainly for the rear camera. I have one installed already, but it’s very shit. I’m hoping I can simply follow the existing camera wire all the way to the rear.

Full camper conversion. So no idea where the camera wire has been fed. I’m going to trace it from the camera end, forward into the van.

Makes life easier. I fitted mine to a tailgate and there wasn't enough wire to go up and back down to the reverse light. Good luck with fitting

I’ve ordered the 33ft camera wire so I should have enough to go round the van twice 😂

I had a Quick Look at the wiring to the already installed camera.

It’s routed through the gator on the door and then is probably spliced into existing wiring to activate it when reverse mode is engaged.

I’ve disconnected the camera (there was a plug connector) and I’ve also snipped the wire at the rear view mirror screen. So all I have to do now is trace the existing wire and replace, or run the new alongside the existing.

Disconnecting the existing has not caused any bulb faults so I don’t see a need to rip out all the existing camera wiring.

But, how do I get to this access point from within the van? I guess it’s a simple case of removing the interior trim (marked with a yellow cross) which is simply screwed on (much like the door cards).?

I second this. Was quite simple. Had to gather a lot of excess cable up and tie it back there but it went fine considering I'm thick... edit: I have a T6 so not really relevant sorry hehe

Pull the panel off the right side of the dash, and you have a clearish route to the fuse box.
I went down the a pillar and then poked the wires through the hole behind the panel of previously removed.

Yes. Pull that trim off by your yellow cross and you get to the end of the rubber bellow grommet thing.

If you look at the thread I’ve linked led to above, you’ll see that I had to make a Frankenstein bracket.

I think the VW original mount is bonded to the screen.

Making the Frankenstein bracket was very easy and no specialist tools were needed.

Ok. No probs.
What bracket do I need to glue to the screen for the Wolfbox bracket? Are they standard sizes? I can see a few on Amazon……

I have no sensors or anything in my mirror. I’d rather leave the round thing in place and glue another bracket to the screen for the wolfbox
