Wind deflectors - my comparison.

I've just picked a set of climair deflectors from ecp and they included the screws. They are for a T6, so not sure if that helps with a differential between variations people are seeing. Found a discount code too so the price dropped down to £37.

So not sure if this will swing opinion, for me it was a result anyway. I purchased a set of Climair wind deflectors from Euro Car Parts and collected them today. Popped the box open when I got home and was greeted by two deflectors (smoke not dark for me), 2 rubber pieces and 2 clips.... but no screws. I checked again, looked in box and packet etc, small screws so maybe I missed them? Nope. Annoyed I was going to return to ECP but figured I'd check instructions to see if there was anything else missing. Glad I did. Climair deflectors have had a redesign it would appear. No longer do you need to drill a hole and screw the fittings in, they come with a steel clip that slides under the plastics to retain it in place. My fitting time was approx 2 mins for both sides. Easiest install ever.

Fitted some genuine VW ones courtesy of Main Dealer who managed to lose one of my Heko ones on a test drive even though they have been fine for two years

Fit similar to Heko ones but more spring clips, plastic 5 per side and no d/s tape

Look better being smoke grey rather than brown tint.

Only issue is a bit of vibration/wind noise at 70, need to investigate

after a couple of months with the OEM deflectors now thinking of changing to the Climair

from a previous post it sounds like they have a V2 with no drilling required - is this correct?

anyone purchased recently and if so best place to buy from and any deals out there?

are they smoke grey, seem to recall my previous Heko were more of a smoked brown

You won't regret. A tiny screw to screw it down. Take your time. Mine have been on 12 months. Smoky

I got some Climairs last month and they don’t have a screw to secure the clip. No drilling required. For them for £41.49 from carparts4less (collection from ECP).

Just noticed they’ve got a discount code (SUMMER23) which takes them down to £31.95

ordered yesterday delivered first thing this morning from ECP, brilliant service and discount code worked well

a little UPVC acetate cleaner removed the bright blue climair logo, looks much neater

anyone want to buy some genuine OEM VW Deflectors as new lol. Defo a thinner material which resonates at around 70 .... so annoying!

Had hekos on mine since I converted the van in 2017 until one flew off while driving about 2 years ago. Always a pain with wind noise no matter how I positioned the clips or how many I used etc and I often had to put the drivers window up and down multiple times while closing it to get it to seat better and reduce that noise. Wouldn’t buy again but they do look cool.

I’ve had climair in the box for 2 years but somehow never got to fitting them. Going to sort that today

Fitting was straight forward although I need to order a 1mm drill bit as I assumed wrongly one would be provided. With regards to aligning the bottom section with the window there's no way that's happening, it needs to come out at an angle. The instructions show this too. Not sure if there are different versions but mine say sport on them. Been so long since I bought them though I can't remember.

I just pushed the screw end of the clip in towards the window slightly so the screw sits in the middle of the plastic trim. Been solid for 3 years.

Yeah I think I’ll do that, had a wee look there and the middle is achievable without too much strain on it

ClimAir - Just made a bit of a search ...

Amazon - Dark £80.08
ECP - Smoked £41.49
climairuk.com - (unspecified) £52.50 (ex. VAT)

I'll be going with ECP on this occasion :)

PS/Edit: Many thanks to all the contributors on this thread.
