Whitley Bay sites

Off to the North East in September, anyone stayed somewhere nice near Whitley Bay?

I live in Northumberland, only a few miles north. Cant suggest anywhwere near Whitley Bay, but, further up our coastline is beautiful Bamburgh, Seahouses etc. Nice sites around there and very nice.

Thanks Al, we have explored the area quite a bit in the car but now as T6 owners hope to do a lot more!
There is one great looking site opposite St Marys Lighthouse but it was unfortunately full; all the others I found are a bit too far away SO we will be on the in laws drive!!

I know the one you mean, its right near the cliffs overlooking Lighthouse... sorry, I forgot about that one....not quite the same on a drive is it!
