We have some free time for a trip away in the van during September. Anyone have any recommendations for sites preferably lakeside with swimming/ paddle board access in Slovenia or similar?

I stayed here a couple of years ago right on the Croatian border.

Posestvo Lovšin smo majhen, družinski, butični kamp, poimenovan tudi Kamp Lovšin. Nahajamo se na stari mlinarski domačiji ob reki Kolpi.

All I can say is Slovenia that is a truly beautiful Country .I have been a few times in my old 5.1 Sportline and loved the place. Very friendly people

Can’t comment on the sites as we weren’t camping but lake Bohinjsko Jezero to the west of lake Bled is lovely. Big mountains and a nice little village.

If you fancy something a little nearer then Annecy is great too. Easy to get to and loads to do in the area.

I did enjoy the site but could only stay for two nights as it was busy in August 22 when I went.
