Just got set up at Reeth in North Yorkshire for a weekend of mountain biking in Swaledale.
Apparently there’s 4 pubs in the village and tonight is live music night in one of them.
I’m about to embark on a pub crawl.

Very nice.
Was there in April, 2 decent pubs and 1 that’s got delusions of grandeur with its pricing.

A night in a field on my own.
This is Camper Van Corner | - for you Yorkshire folk, its in Burnsall near Bolton Abbey/Grassington.
There might be a water tap but thats it. £10 a night midweek (£15 weekends) and the farmer only allows ~8 vehicles.
Excellent location to explore the area or like me, have a night away. Excellent sunsets from here.

Major discussions between the local council and the government - it would completely trash the council's budget.

Waste of time trying to stop the sea, I’ve seen hundreds of thousands £ spent by property owners where I grew up trying to stop winter storms from washing away cliffs, almost always a waste of money. Piles of massive 2T plus granite rocks work but that’s megabucks.

Today, I went to CamperJam for the day. Technically my 1st VW show, since owning the van over 2 years ago.

I popped over to the T6 Forum Camp, and got to meet @Swamper_Jez and @phil . Nice to meet you both

Yeah, Orchard view. Nice site.
Absolutely correct about the pubs. Great pub food at 2 and the the Kings Arms claims fine dining, but the £25 fish and chips just looked like fish and chips to me. Place was booked out though.

Typical of UK pathetic administration - all excuses and no action . This road should have been repaired within days of the storm.

Been to the beach (Ainsdale), but the heatwave seems to have swerved here today.

Thornton le Dale, took a picnic and just chilled. Nice to just relax and listen to the flow of the nearby stream, was fairly quiet considering.

Warm weekend away with the kids, wife and parents in ditching for the weekend. First weekend away as a 4 (boys are 6 and 2). A cool 31 degrees currently but a nice breeze thankfully. Can see cows, donkeys and 4ft turkey (that honestly looks like he would take your face off if you got too close) from the van. Kids are in farm heaven.
