Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Any campsites you'd recommend over in IoW, John?
We’ve only used Waverley campsite on east Cowes twice, it is on an incline and overlooks the solent. and the views of the shipping are fantastic, just 10 minutes away is the chain ferry to west cowes with the bars and restaurants £1-50 return last ferry 12-15 pm.
Bus stop 10 minutes away for Newport bus station then bus to anywhere on the island. ( bus pass )
Waitrose and Co-op about 10 minutes from site also.
We’re booking again for next year with Waverley and they book the ferry in their price.

I'll take a look. Cheers John.👍

I've stayed at Parkdean Noodles site in the past, there's a field for camping down towards the water, can be expensive in high season though.

We are now back home in Gloucestershire after a mid-morning shuttle to Ashford and a quick stop at my sisters house about 20 minutes from the M20 (which she only moved into a couple of weeks ago). As usual with the M25, traffic was a nightmare in places plus delays due to two accidents made for a long and tedious journey back home. We actually experienced more delays and bad traffic in the journey home from Ashford than we did in the 2000 odd miles driven earlier in the trip across France.

I live in Dartford proper M25 territory and that road ruins every trip either going, returning or both, going to Cornwall Monday so early start just to avoid the shi*e

I can hear the funeral dirge playing on the radio as you drove wondering why the UK is such a dump compared to France and how come their country is still in a better state despite being beaten in so many wars.
It's like they were attacked by the National Trust and here we couldn't knock all our oldest buildings down quick enough during the 60s and 70s replacing them with concrete wilderness shopping centres... I miss France...

Been to Sizergh castle NT but was a little disappointed we weren’t even allowed in the gardens with our furry friends. I expected doing the house in shifts. Going where we are all welcome in the village tonight for a nice meal in a nice restaurant (Avanti) nothing to do with the trains 😬 & a few beers 🍻
