Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Pretty good shout Podge but when we drove through Vasilliki last week there were alot of windsurfers on the water, but none in your pic...so id say maybe not....im gonna stick my neck out and say its one of the Ionian Islands!! :slow rofl:
It's true it would be odd to have zero windsurfers. The katabatic wind (Eric) usually reliably comes flying down the mountain suddenly and spectacularly at close to 1pm so perhaps it was an earlier shot. :) This is what I had in mind.

I hope @Dannyb6467 will put us out of our misery soon... :D

Agh, failed!

I envy you a nice trip round the Greek islands. 😎 We keep saying we will have head east instead of France/Spain. We have/had reasonable tourist Greek. Do you find the inter-island ferries ok to use? We are likely to be towing a caravan and I have read they make you reverse on in the narrow space between many expensive BMW's and T.6.1's! 😏

Not a million miles out @Podge!!

Yes, they were facory fit size at one point. They are the same rolling radius as the 215/60. Its even on the sticker on the door. I have 235/55 17 on my devonports for the last 20k miles and no issues.

Had the same when i had them fitted. The b*lle*d at ATS gave me lecture how the acc and radar would blow up and the whole world would end even more so as they are not commerical tyres. I politely explain above points and that the load rating was more than adequate for my van and they fitted them reluctantly and made me sign a waiver.
Had a set of RainSport 5 at a local Indy. £530.

@Podge Can’t be arissed - it could be anywhere. The thread title is ‘Where have you been….’ not ‘Guess which of the 200,000,000 Greek beaches this is’,:)

I can definitely recommend Croatia if you want a change. We’ve been blown away by the scenery and the crystal clear waters and huge number of campsites.
Wild camping is not so much of a thing and sites aren’t cheap.
Beaches generally have no sand just natural rocks or manmade areas full of gravel. Suits me as I hate sand and won’t normally go onto a beach. So it was nice to do loads of swimming in crystal clear calm sea.
We are already planning a return for a 5 week trip next May.

Arrived at Ljubljana Hotel and Camping Resort in Slovenia this afternoon and managed to secure a pitch. We were initially concerned as didn't arrive until nearly 1700 hrs but all was OK in the end. We've found that sites situated with good access to cities are usually packed in and this one is no exception - the pitch is quite small but the awning gives us a bit of privacy and anyway we're only here for a couple of nights so it will do (and the sanitaries are OK!). Although we've been there before, we plan to do the sights in Ljubljana tomorrow and scoff some quality Sacha Torte whilst there. The people in the pic are our german neighbours.

As you know we bailed Tuesday morning from Krk. It hammered it down overnight and I’d left the towels and chairs out so it all got packed away dripping.
Apart from a couple of short dry spells over the Brenner Pass it’s not stopped raining the whole journey. Currently south of Luxembourg and it’s pissing it down still.
Doesn’t help that every autobahn seems to be a collection of roadworks joined together by brief stretches of clear road.
What are your plans now?
