We started the NC500 today. Currently at the kelpsies in falkirk. Can't believe how many other vans are here. It's really busy... was hoping it would be quiet at this time or year

Yea just static. But I'm amazed how busy the place actually is overnightHave they got the kelpies changing colour at night, or are they still just a static colour?

We counted 30+ campers last night they were on you straight away for the money we are at inverness tonight and they have just emailed saying they won't be there to check us in lol. Must be low season now kids have gone backThey are pretty cool when they slowly change colour. We stayed in February, but was very quiet over night. Nobody collected money from us!
What poles are you using for that canopy? I assume you can adjust them to get a fall from the can. I got some stitches & steel expanding ones but don’t trust them to stay upStaying at Draughton Heights near Skipton for a couple of days. Lucky to have the Dales on our doorstep

The poles came with the canopy. It's an OL Pro scenic canopy. The poles work perfectly with a twist and stay in place. Comes with storm straps and I've added a couple of ratchet lines to keep it tight. Also put 3 rock pegs around the base of each pole to stop them moving sideways. The canopy is on offer from OL Pro directly at the mo too and is top quality. What poles are you using for that canopy? I assume you can adjust them to get a fall from the can. A somewhat wet walk around Alton and then went to the Watercress line to have a ride on the steam train but unfortunately it was not doing a return to Alton so opted to have a tea and just watch it leave. Got chatting to the Train driver and he let me up on the engine. The inner child was extremely happy and asked too many questions. The better half and her mother wondered where I had disappeared to. Will go back to have a proper day of it.
Was that a rare T0? Haven’t we come a long way?!View attachment 301541
