Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Light water valley with the kids and some friends. Nice run out in lovely sunshine! All the big rides are gone though so don’t go unless you’ve got little ones!!! 41.2mpg which I was pretty happy with given the country roads etc

Been to Girvan - which seems to have girven up. Bit sad & decrepit, but nice car park with view across to a big rock.

£10 to park overnight, if anyone's interested. (Free daytime)

Drove past Turnberry. Definitely didn't stop, and wouldn't insult the van by snapping it there

On to Maidens, with a nice view across to Arran, and Ulster over to the left:

Back to Loch Doon for tonight before heading further north.

Sunny Lyn campsite on the hill between Lynton and Lynmouth. Not stayed here for years and it's certainly been scrubbed up a bit since the last time, Campervan pitches are hard standing with electric, water and a TV point if needed. The only downside is that it's surrounded by steep hills so doesn't get masses of sunlight. The hills do however mean some lovely walk straight from the site. Seems a bit pricey at £37 per night but I suppose that's quite cheap for a site in Rip Off Britain nowadays.
One problem is that we had the dreaded 650 mile adblue warning flash up on the way here (I know it's near full and, anyway, only checked the MFD last week when it said 5500 miles. Bleeding VWs pee me off sometimes!

@Bargy62. We're not enthusiast self caterers when away and will always choose to eat out whenever possible. On that basis, I suspect that site might be just a bit too far from Lynton or Lynmouth to make a comfortable stroll back to the van after a couple of pints and some scoff. At least they're both walking within distance from Sunny Lyn (albeit, the return from Lynmoiuth is further and all uphill!). There's also a pub with a Thai restaurant next door. A couple of beers might help me to forget about Adblue for a while as well.
