Went a good few years back with a few guys from the gym , we were dancing on the bar in the Grasshopper when my mate Johnny fell off the end
.He bounced alright nobody hurt , got back up and carried on .
The next day we went back in the afternoon and they were playing it all back on the big screen...didnt know it was all recorded .
Was even funnier the second time around
Little trip an hour down the road to lakeside park, North somercotes.

Dalesbridge campsite in Austwick - we seem to have left the sun at home though!

Hillcroft… across and up the road… Roehead lane I think … the back lane out of the site heads up onto the fell ..
been a few times now … spot on facilities … great walks …. And pubs galore on the door step…. 
We got to Avignon and Camping Bagatelle yesterday and am now camped in a quite spot against a wall and almost fully uneder shade all day - important as temperatures are at the upper end the 30s (I believe similar to UK pro tem). The pitch is 22¢ per night with leccy and we realise earlier the at the top of the wall where we're parked is an olympic sized pool. The site is a bit tatty but importantly the facilities are all very clean. We caught the train to Nimes this morning (a 30 minute ride on a nice train for 6¢ and there and back were both exactly on time!) with a plan to visit the roman amphitheatre which we did but found it was hosting the Nimes Festival at the moment so it wasn't a usual visitor day. It was absolutely packed out by the time the shows started and I suspect there would have been a few burnt tourists by the end. There was s bull fighting demo up first and I while don't think they were actually going to kill the poor thing, they were still prodding and taunting it which was bad enough so we were out of there and went off to look at a roman temples and the museum. I always try to respect other peoples traditions but sometimes just can't do it. NOTE TO SELF: Do your research the next time you go to NImes and make sure it's a normal visitor day at the ampitheatre.
Pont du Gard next ? Well worth it. And if you're in to that sort of thing, try finding the remnants of the water system to Nimes in the hills nearby......
Some nice villages in the area too. Vaison La Romaine is great, likewise Bedoin before a trip up Ventoux.
