We actually paid to go in and visit something 🤕 also worth mentioning and OT but we nearly froze to death last night where it had gone down to 12C. we're back in the mid 20s now so panic over.
Campsite is on surrounding Chateau grounds but mostly bang up to date apart from this morning's freezing cold shower...

A few days away just outside of Caernarfon. Maes Carafanau Hendy Caravan Park. Peaceful with little else but good on site facilities. 15 min walk into Caernarfon along the Steam railway line.

If you ever get the opportunity the day trip on the Welsh Highland Railway either direction is fantastic and goes through some amazing countryside.

A couple of times MrsRT has given me the leave form and I've treated myself to a trip in the Pullman Coach - a real treat but spendy if you have to take the whole family!

Looks good. How do you charge the bike while camping? EHU, inverter?
EHU at the moment. Not had the e-bike for long so this is the first trip away with the bike overnight. Next job is to fit a Renogy 1000W invertor
Also discovered that the charger cable doesn't reach the bike when it's on the rack, so had to put the bike in the van. That meant there was no space inside so I had to go to the pub while it charged. Tragic.

Home, return trip from Cornwall to south wales, M5 traffic was its usual stop start , just dodged a hour hold up on M4 motorway buy going over heads of valley road, 700 miles in a week, not a great amount just short of what I normally do in two months, no issues with van so ex rac t6 with 152k on clock chugging along well

Spent last night on another cracking off grid pitch near Spey bay.
Deployed the new Fiamma awning sides and fired up the bbq and new wee camp fire.
The campfire was brilliant but with being small filled with ash and hot coals after 2-3 hours but it’s super easy to empty and fire up again. I used the damp dog towel.
I only used 5 of those flamers all night and just burned beach sticks.
We’re at the side of the Spey at Grantown on Spey for the night tonight but plan on heading up the north east coast tomorrow. It was over 30 degrees here today.
Got a night pic of the full moon

E-bike will be my next MTB (may be a while away though!) so good to hear how you are charging. What lead are you using? I need the same to ensure I have an excuse to bugger off to the pub too…!! ;)
