That's one of the very few advantages of working weekends!

Tell me about it , normally work the weekends and get a couple of days in the week instead which is great for shopping but the downside of that is that we miss all the vdub shows cuz I'm working.

First race of the season at Snetterton. Super weather if a bit chilly. We were fastest in practice , qualifying and in the race. But disaster! We were awarded a ten second grid penalty for weight infringement and in the race the gear stick failed! DNF! The van however performed perfectly, towing and carrying the crew , spares etc in comfort.

I wear the Steel Blue Parkes Steelies & they’re genuinely the comfiest work boots I’ve ever owned. Last ages as well. They do a range of work boots so sure there’s something there for you.

Perfect weather for a walk around Arnside in Cumbria.
Even let the Mrs drive home from Lancaster!

We’ve driven from Swindon to estarli bikes in Berkhamsted to get our bikes sorted (we’ve left them there to pick up tomorrow), then we’ve driven the short hop to Ashridge Forest for a wander around and give the dog a chance to run about, then we’ve driven to Hughenden Manor NT. The weather has been great.
Our next stop is RAF High Wycombe to drop off the mattress our son wanted delivering from home. He’s buying dinner tonight as payment for transport and the doggy day (week) care.
Tonight we’re camping at Cholsey Grange CL site before heading home tomorrow via Berkhamsted to collect our bikes.
Loving our little midweek break.
