What's the Composition Media unit worth?

I have replaced my 6.33 composite media system (5K7 035 200 G) with a kenwood dnx9190dabs

I know it needs to have VW to remove component protection and or pair to new VIN

At the moment its an expensive paper weight, so looking to sell it.

I know its only worth what someone else is willing to pay but I don't want to under value it or just give it a way

It’s worth nothing, VW can’t remove CP from these and if you want to get it ‘cracked’ so it can be transferred between vehicles then the unit needs to be dismantled and adjusted internally as there’s no way to do it through the SD card slot like you can on the other models, unfortunately the price you will get charged for the mod outweighs any potential return

Slightly less spec than yours (3 buttons either side) my L56VW2 from my T6 recently made £76.00 + postage on ebay. Seemed to be good demand at the time so worth a go

It would be better to keep it to refit when you move on. The Kenwood will be a much easier sell when the time comes.
