What would zebedee do?

Hi all, I've read a lot of threads, spoke to a couple of forum suspension experts but just looking for real world users advice.

I have a T32 SWB Factory Kombi TSI, Revo'd to 300HP with a Miltek back box. It goes great and sounds lovely. I have Supermetal Trident 20's on there, Michelin PS SUV tyres, 245/45/20 front and 274/40/20 rear (same overall diameter at 719mm). I'm currently lowered 60mm just on lowering springs and I really like the stance and rake of the van. I don't want to go lower as I won't be able to get on my driveway plus they'll be rub in the front wheel arch liners as the tyres and wheels are chunky. I'm running 40psi front and rear and the standard shock are very 'crashy'.

My next jobs are H&R ARB's and suspension. It's the suspension that has me stumped. Current thinking is ST-X or KW V1's.

Anyone with a similar set up that's gone down this route? What would/did you choose?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

You need to call a few dealers who supply suspension components and chat to them . Ask tech questions and compare all the notes . . The STX and V1 are identical so no need to compare them to each other .
what you need to compare is the difference between sport type kits , coil over kits and the sleeve over kits that most will offer you .
with the kind of horsepower you have adjustable dampers will be really usefull. STx and V1 don’t have this
good luck with your Research. And we look forward to offering you the right stuff

Spoke to Steve from CRS on the phone and he was incredibly helpful. Just looking to see if anyone has a similar set up to me and what they have gone with. As I don't want excessive drop, I think a KW/STX Coilover kit could the answer as they go to 65mm drop but I'd be near the bottom of the adjustment so don't know how that will affect the ride. Interesting that Steve thinks I would benefit from adjustability due to the power of the van. May I ask you to elaborate on that @CRS Performance ?

Or, you could make life easier for yourself and go straight to @CRS Performance! (Or, @The Van Cave who is closer to you!)
Thanks for the shout out @JOG , we are just over the border in Somerset, so might be well placed to help.

@Gossa I'm happy to talk through the options that we can offer at the cave, easiest to give me a call on Monday on 01460 249346, or send an email to chris@thevancave.co.uk and I'll talk you through what we can offer and why.

Whilst you're waiting for your new suspension you could try dropping your tyre pressures a couple of PSI from the 40 that you're running. 38 might help just a little bit with the ride and usually works well on the tyre sizes you are running.

Cheers,

Chris.
