The tyres on my van are going to need replacement in the foreseeable.
The current Cooper ATT's jn 235/55 18 have been on since new and TBH I've no great issue with any aspect of their performance. They're quiet, good in the dry, predictable in the wet, and have even proven adept enough in a couple of inches of snow. Id be happy enough using them again if it came to that.
But im open to suggestions. While I'm happy with the ATTs theyre at the road biased end of Coopers range (they do 5 different types of AT from mild to Rambo) but I've no ideological objection totally weather boots.
Wear levels not terribly important. Its a low mileage van and the rubber will likely time out before it wears oit, as is the case with the current rubber.
So, T28 2wd with a camper conversion, suspension standard apart from Eibach rear levelling springs, mainly used on road but occasionally needs to handle a rutted unpaved track for about 1/4 mile which is bumpy but fairly hard packed. Im a fairly sedate driver, smooth on all the controls, not a point-and-squirt merchant like today's youngsters seem to be.
So those of you running tyres of that size on your van...what are you using, and how is it going?
