17" Wheel & Tyre combo - T6 campervan

Hi all,

I currently have 20" Momo alloys on my T6 camper (photo below), lowered on SoLow NSL's and the combination of this and the state of local roads means Im looking to 'downsize' to a 17" alloy, but are unsure of tyre size to go with?

I've seen Navis MAC AT's, with 225 to 245 width options, with 55 to 65 tyre profile...

When the van was a kombi, the alloys worked. But the weight of the conversion is just ruining the ride in my opinion...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

How much is it lowered by..?

I've recently fitted 235/65/17s and had to take the ride height back up 25mm to stop them rubbing on full lock..

My current set up is Konis with a 30mm drop with 17" Outlaws and Wildpeak AT tyres and with the weight of a full camper conversion the ride is so much better over my previous set up.

It's on adjustable Solow NSL's, 80mm front, 75mm rear currently, so am expecting to have to lift it quite a bit!
I've seen most go with Falken Wildpeaks, and good to hear the ride is better! What did you have before?

Sounds like quite a lift to take the new set up.

I went from 255/45/19s on VW Cantera alloys. Much prefer the ride on the 17s which are much more forgiving when you hit a pothole or a speed bump.
