What could this be.......

Hello I'm just posting this in the correct forum this time, because I am not able to find out what this small plug is, sticking out from the windscreen, left side, it has a flat cable you can see it, and it goes down the side of the window under the plastic.........

Definately an RJ45 plug. Strange place for it. Could someone have had a webcam or similar in the van?

Definitely looks like an ethernet cable, is it an ex RAC/AA van kind of thing?

There are various devices that have remote controls/screens and use that type of cable, could have been a display or switch of some kind maybe ?
My invertor uses something similar

Thank you for the help, yes it does look like a RJ45 cable, the same plug that goes into a broadband router...........or into the box for home phone line

Don't know the history of the van, but it's mostly been a camper conversion I think..........

Might have been for a mobile router. Defo won't have been for audio/visual as that isn't what that cable is for, unless it connected audio/visual device to a router.
