Or do you use a pre wash first, again wet or dry

Power wash the whole van first, then snow foam , then 2 bucket hand wash , then power wash again , then dry with a mega thick microfibre towel, then add a buff up with a bit of quick detailer .

@Stripy , while all the above will be correct and helpful, they have forgot to mention that you also have to do the obligatory standing back and admiring your work, at least twice every 10 minutes

Yep; wet.
Don't let the snow foam dry out; easy to do on warm days.
