Welcome new members

Hi to all I'm a newbie to the VW as I am now the proud owner of a T6 transporter highline which I have only had for about a month now ,I have wanted to have one for years but but it was always out of my reach financially, but recently was left inheritance so I knew exactly what I was going to do with the money, and at age 59 and still physically fit I was going to make my dream a reality so spent about three months constantly scanning the internet I came across an add in auto trader ,me and the wife went and viewed the vehicle that was looked after by a couple who had it from new back in 2016 as a base van and had it converted by a well known company,in short they had it converted to a high spec, but because there kids where all grown up and of to do their own traveling the van was not being used to it's full potential, anyway we fell in love with it from first moment we set our eyes on it, it had been VW serviced every year and very well looked after,we have already done two breaks away in her, and off to Dorset in July for a week,we feel like we're living the dream, sorry it a bit of a essay but feel happy to be apart of like minded people who love to travel and who love their VW

Hi All!

Thought I'd introduce our new "to us" Bannana Van!

Picked it up two weeks ago and already love the attention it gets!

Seems like an ex AA Van as in some lights you can just about make out their phone number on the tailgate!

No massive mods planned, just want to use it as a day van with the kids.

I'll be fitting some speakers above the Kombi seats for the kids, and adding a 12v socket to the rear for a fridge/coolbox.

Eventually want to replace the head unit with an Andoid Auto one and backup camera whens funds allow!

Unfortunately I have a leak from the crankshaft oil seal, but luckily the garage I bought it from is replacing it, along with a new timing belt that I am supplying for peace of mind.
Along with the battery being flat driving home, and me stalling leaving us stranded it, hasn't been the smoothest of new vehicles!

Good evening all. I've just posted my first post in a recent thread in the for sale / wanted section and realised my faux- pas by way of not introducing myself here first.
Former T4 owner for eight plus years and I purchased my 2020 T6.1 back in November last year. I bought it as a low mileage ex tradesman's van but it was well looked after and hadn't had a hard life. I have no previous experience of building a camper from scratch as my previous van had been semi-converted (day van), so sound deadening, insulation and carpeting were already done in the T4.

I spent a long time researching and watching YT videos, as you do, and I felt quite confident as I started out. Here's a couple of before and after photos and I will add a build thread as and when I get time.

I fitted the Lagun table in today and the very last job to do tomorrow is to fit the flush sliding window in the side door (been on back-order). I say last job, that concludes the camper build, the tweaking / body / lights / wheels mods are no doubt on the horizon.
