Same happened to us last year! June 7 we drove from Brisbane to Sydney and back (in Oz) in our T-Cross. By July 7 we had traded it in on a new T6.1 Cali 4 motion with lots of factory options. And this forum has been super ever since! Only problem is that I’m always finding extra bits and bobs to release our hard earned cash on!

I would (did) go with a 150. As with all forums, there's a bias towards reporting issues, so the bi-turbo issues get amplified, but I wasn't prepared to take the risk.
Just take your time and choose wisely. Walk away if there's any potential red flags - always plenty of other vans out there.

Hi I have just acquired a 2017 T5.1 am I on the right forum?
Not many mid-roof vans around. Ideal for standing up in... provided you're under 5' 5" tall.
Will this be a leisure or a work vehicle (or a bit of both)?
Generally speaking the 150bhp is a safer bet than the more powerful 204bhp as said the latter has more reported negatives concerning the engine. Late on T6 saw revisions with a change in engine prefix to CXEC and a slight drop in power to 199bhp, the later more powerful engines have no known problems to date. Same engine evidently as found in the T6.1.
The Kombi is a commercial vehicle and will be subject to lower speed rules on some roads like most large vans. The Caravelle is little more plush and seen as a car and is subject to the same speed rule on roads as cars.

Cheers mate and ideally do want a caravelle as i have seen its classed as a mpv the insuranse is cheaper aswell, its just finding a decent one with budget iv got keep looking everyday so hopefully one turns up soon
Seen this lovely van just not sure how the lighter colour trim will hold out with the kids
