Water Dripping Inside Door Panels?

So, just in the process of fitting some speakers and noted got caught out by a heavy shower.

Whilst sitting in the car, noticed that water was dripping inside the panel, behind where the speakers sit.

Is this normal? I assume it isn't because the trim was removed.

Did leave the door open a little at the start, but not convinced it was because of that. Any thoughts? both the passenger and drivers door...

The water runs down the glass and passed the weather seal into the "wet side" of the inside of the door.... then out the drain holes at the bottom of the door...

Hence the need for a wet seal or vapour barrier in the door to keep the inside of the car/van dry and keep damp at bay.....

In the old days it was simply a large peice of clear plastic stuck to the door inner frame behind the inner door card.

Without this the inside of the van would absorb all the moisture and become damp and moldy.
