Washer Pump wiring issue

Hey all,
I’ve a faulty wire on the washer pump.
I’ve bypassed wire 2 & took it to an earthing point & hey presto it works.
I see there are a few threads on the faulty wire issue, but my question is……….. has anyone actually managed to locate the issue with the wire, rather than bypass it?
Is there a common point in the wire or connector that is at fault?
Cheers

Anyone?
Or does anyone know the route in which the wires take?
I’ve traced it to the connector under the battery (E-Box I believe), then where does it go?
Obviously the end location is up the steering column & into the stalk, but can I assume it goes through the bcm & fuse box?
I’ve studied the wiring diagrams in the vip section, but can’t seem to see the info I’m after (could easily be missing something).
Any suggestions would be great

Somewhere within the VIP accessible doc’s there’s a diagram with all the earth points.
If your alternative earth point works then it points to a problem with the earth. It’s just a case of tracking the wiring harness if you think it’s worth it.
There are quite a few repeated Transporter wiring issues, either not adequately protected, stressed as too short / unsupported or exposed to road crap.
