VW T6 No start but cranking

Hello to every one !!
I have massive problem with VW T6 no start ( Big bottle of whisky waiting for the hero who can help to solve the puzzle )
Transporter come with EGR flooded with water ,compression checked ( 300 PSI across )
changed HPFP with fuel rail regulator and sensor and new cambelt with water pump
van is cranking but no start VCDS keep saying Low system voltage ( battery is new and on charger as well )
cranking speed is good no fault codes
Fuel pressure is only 12-15 bar ( why ? )
Ground points was checked and clean
I'm loosing my mind over it
can anyone help please ?
any help much appreciated
 
First thing is do a full reset...



Ger a charger on there... For a full 24hr charge up.

Run a new vcds scan and post on here.

Did it run ok before?

What changed?

Check for cam & crank signal.... Timing belt changed.. so it's it in time?

Do you get rpm signals?


Why was water in EGR?... Leaky cooler?
 
Does it fire up on starter fluid?

Have you tested the Terminal 15 Relay (power with ignition on)
It is only shwong 7.6 volts.

Fuel pressure is only 12-15 bar ( why ? )
The fuel pressure (lack of) is the issue. The ECU does not even try to fire the injectors without proper fuel pressure.
Does the lift pump actually work? Do you get fuel into the fuel filter?
Can you hear the pump?

Please use Advanced Measurement Values for this ECU - not the Measurement Blocks. Much easier :thumbsup:
 
Hpfp is new
It was changed as a precaution ( scratches was visible on the shaft)

Strange 🤔 - especially as there is not even slight increase in pressure when cranking

Please make a log (as described above, use selection of Advanved Measurement Values) of the following - just to trace fuel pressure regulation circuitry

Is there deffo fuel getting to the hpfp?

Maybe crack open the rail pressure valve to bleed air.

Or even the hard lines to injectors to bleed through any air.....

Hpfp won't build pressure off it's airlocked.

It's obviously a fuel problem, ... So let's follow the fuel path from tank to cylinder methodically.

You have checked fuel flow from tank to filter.....

Now let's check at each point after that.

Fuel pressure check and flow test done at Fuel filter outlet (all correct )
On cranking Fuel coming out from Fuel rail outlets when connection is loose
Honestly this engine drives me mad I can't sleep properly because I have to solve this puzzle so bad .
Is anyone think no coolant in the system could make a difference?
Code is triggered "pump running dry"
Would that prevent ecu to close Fuel pressure regulator ? ( to protect the engine)

you have fuel at the rail....but it's not raising pressure.

Could the HPFP be faulty?... What comands can we check with hpfp to get it to raise pressure.

The fuel rail pressure regulator?,.... Have you tried disconnecting it to see if it makes a difference?

@mmi can you plot his data in a graph?

We still saying that he has no rail pressure?

....

I know that when I had the new CXEB long block engine fitted.... The techs took ages to get it to fire .... They had it turning over on and off for almost a minute....
