VW T6 2017 Interior lights wont go off

Love my van after having had t5 before. However I cannot get the interior lights to go off ? . The only way to drive at night now is to turn them all off manually leaving just the footwell lights on. Even when locking the van they dont go off anymore. (They used to??) Im sensing a trip to VW unless anyone has any experience of this and worked out the solution ?

Swiss Vans reckon (over the phone) its a VW door lock sensor issue.

Any suggestions ?

If it was a door switch problem it would show a door open on the dash display

Hey thanks for the reply Pauly .. yeah thats what I thought. But nothing on dash. Its booked in to VW so they can sort it

I had this same issue in my MK7 Golf, and it turned out that the kids had pressed all the buttons in the front and the rear, and this made the rear interior lights stay on whilst driving. There seemed to be a certain combination of where the front and rear switches needed to be, which I finally worked out after trying several different combinations. I'm not sure if the T6 is the same on some models.
