Voice activation

On my,Highline wheel, I have a voice button, but a message on the screen then says activation code required. So booked appointment with local dealer. Sorry mate, meaningless without factory set up to take software.
But could install app connect (?) £210 for software download......good for iPhones and bloke called Siri, evidently highly rated. Worth considering?

He's confused.
Siri works with app-connect (long press of said button) controls your phone
Voice control (short press) is for stuff the infotainment system does, like "Radio 2"
