Vland T6 LED Projector Headlights

Well I’m returning mine as I can’t get any radio now with them fitted and on daytime or side lights, I gave the ferrite beads a go and made no difference, coding the pwm out on them made it slightly better but not good enough to live with 😔

Mine seems ok when the lights are on dipped beam but signal is on and off on drls only, my ferrite beads did nothing either

I spoke to Absolut5 on here who seems to think the shark fin dab antenna will do the trick so that’s what I’m going to do I think

What’s this pwm and can I do that with Carista?

Pwm is pulse width modulation, basically turning the 12v supply on and off to make a wave form rather than a constant 12v supply, normally used on brake lights/side lights ect so they can use a single filament bulb for 2 jobs, when I was checking the coding I found that for daytime running lights/dip and main so thought it’s got to be better off with leds, I don’t know about carista

Anyone else had problems with the dab reception after fitting these? If there on the radios fine but put them on to side or off then I lose all reception
I’ve just got my new vland headlights mate they are brilliant love them my dab is working ok with them but that is just on my drive I don’t know wot it will be like when I’m driving about I will let you know

Fitted mine today, made the £449 offer and they arrived within days. They are so BRIGHT!!

I think mine are aimed too high though, so will have to have a go at either manually adjusting the aim or seeing if the aim switch works.

Mine seem to work fine when the dipped beam is on but on drls only dab is very on/off.

I’ve emailed the seller and they’ve asked for a video so will do that at the weekend.

Fitting an external dab antenna would likely fix it but that’s not cheap either.

I've just received mine but not fitted them yet. I'm tempted to put them in our EMC chamber and measure the electrical emission they produce. We have legal limits for electrical components in Europe, but most of the stuff from China doesn't comply.

We have just got an error “left cornering light” and something about “going to earth” according to Carista, with bulb warning on dash. I pulled the stalk to flash an oncoming car and the error started. The headlights seem to be working fine, so perhaps a coincidence. I’ll have to check around when we get home again.

Yep, that’s what I was trying to say. It lowered the beam.
Yeah, having now reread what you wrote I’m not sure how I read it as you were saying it the opposite way round, I even nearly bothered to go out and check in the van!

So after sending them a message about the DAB interference they have said they will send me some Radio Interference Module... dunno what that would consist of but we'll see.

Ha we’ll see

Wouldn’t mind fitting an external aerial as a last resort but it’s a pricy option

I purchased the VLand LED lights last week after reading about them on here! I cannot believe how good they are, they have significantly improved the vision when driving in the dark and if you are thinking about these I would 100% recommend them! I had a £75 eBay offer too so they come in at £380 for me which is a bargain.

I have noticed a drop in my DAB signal so I am currently looking to address this, I already have a Calearo Shark Fin fitted but I never put the power supply to it when I installed it so I’m hoping this may improve it.

I have contacted the seller so will see what they suggest too.
