Victron (#TeamBlue) Advanced Systems + VRM - How We Done It -

Changed firmware to Beta, installed it and still no Center display option!

edit: I think another reboot has fixed it

I'm loving this cool little dedicated victron cerbo screen using an old or new Android tablet....

.

so now im totaly obsessed with the Cerbo and GX50 screen in the Bus, and the VRM platform with the new GUI.

im looking to add as much stuff to it as possible.

I've decided to add a Victron IP43 Pheonix EHU charger to the setup as my EHU charger, they do 30A & 50A version. so im looking at the 50A 1+1 seeing as im addeding a second 230ah Roamer bettery under the other seat. . . that will get me 460ah.

plus on our short EU trip when we had the microwave and slow-cooker going we was pushing the 3kva inverter into the 110% range. . . we was pulling just under 300A and the battery BMS starting showing over temp alarms ( from the battery internal BMS)

so im adding a second battery to add capacity, but to also reduce the load, instead of pulling 300A from 1 battewery, well be pulling 150A from two batteries - that help keep them cool.

anyway, back to the Cerbo.

what extras can we add?

I've got the three RUUVIs on BT as temp sensors.

I've seen you can add a USB WIFI stick to the Cerbo - but TBF I've never had any issues with the built in wifi anyway.

what else can we add?

GPS maybe?

I've got the SD card already as well.

maybe the victron BT battery voltage sense? - but i already get all that data (temp + voltage) from the battery CAN connection to the Cerbo.

so what other goodies can we add?

I've no tanks as such so no need to the tank level sensors yet. . . . . .

show me some stuff?

FYI - the IP43 charger will be arranged once i get paid.. . . . watch this space

Well jell of your extra 230Ah!

When we park up our water tank cupboard under the sink/breadbin is blocked by the bed which we keep set up.
A Mopeka Pro sensor is really useful to see what level is left in the tank.
As for anything else, I'm hoping there's nothing else I want!

I got a cheap, supposedly compatible GPS dongle on USB: not reliable in my experience, seems to have major gaps in .gpx tracks from road trips for no obvious reason (caveat: it's mounted inside the tailgate window, which may be a cause for unreliability).

New blog post about setting up any old tablet as a GX Wi-Fi screen.

Who wants a new page in their cerbo with another four switches. Switched outputs.

They can be switched on or off.
A pulse.
Or a stepped rising falling output?
5A or 15 amp total.

Then if you need more power just run it for a 12-v relay.

This looks great and I think I need to get one.
