Van Plugs

Hi all

We have now added the PayPal 'Pay in 3' option at the checkout, so you can not only get the forum discount, but spread the payment over three months.

Hope that helps!!

Sorry guys, but the awning saver is not fit for purpose. It falls off with little to no force.

I've put it in the bin now as it rendered itself uselelss.
That is really odd to be fair, as we sold a large number. Can you retrieve it please so we can get it back to check it first and we can then send a replacement?

Thanks

I must say i have found similar with the one i purchased. Used with our Debus air sun canopy and just fell off the door when in contact with the awning

Hi

Again, if you have an issue with it, could you please return it so we can investigate? We will happily replace but more so, try to understand why the problem is suddenly occurring

Thanks
Paul

It just seems that with the awning being taut, once in contact it topples off rather than rolling along the fabric. Maybe with a looser awning it would be fine

Hi
Would you be able to post it back?
It may be the panel adhesive gauge differs, of they are out of tolerance.
Thanks
Paul

I tried a similar item off eBay it it was rubbish - never stayed on the door. I noticed with yours that it didn’t include the t6.1 - is this the reason people are having issues? The awning saver is a great idea - if it stays on the door! Can anyone update before I buy another one, that ends up potentially not working? (For a t6.1). Thanks!

Hi
We think the T6 has a thinner door section as the construction of the door is different. We are redesigning it, but we have just been a little busy with the T7 plugs and moving into a new unit.
Watch this space, as we will replace the others that were sloppy on the T6/6.1

Firstly - thanks for the honesty and visibility into your process - makes me more confident to spend the little bit extra on the badge hookup knowing the “company” cares. Great to see. I’m sure you ll have a bunch of people on here supporting you and helping test the new 6.1 version! Like others have said - something with some magnets or something that definitely doesn’t come off would be amazing. (Lots of us have vans that are a bit lower than standard my awning rails are hidden when my pop top is down, so I find that I will definitely need something to protect the awning (potentially both ends of the door). 👍

Recived and fitted my van plugs rear door hook up today.

Great product. Easy install once you get over having to cut a 120mm hole in your van.

Couple of small bits of note.

Its 3d printed. Not sure what I expected. I guess in my mind that makes it pricier for what it is really.

I cracked the outer housing when tighting one of the bolts. Thats on me for being heavy handed. It wont be an issue and is hidden. Will add a bit of glue. But I think there could be some extra protection for that ideally

The 240v hook up connector still had its label on. Not an issue but annoying having to remove because I'm lazy and its one of those non peel jobs.

Overall good product and what I wanted. Easy install with good instructions but I'd say £50 too expensive 😅

oops. Yes, the nylocs only require a light tighten, but as you say, hidden behind the cover.

Thanks for the other comments. We do try to keep costs down, but we do offer the forum a discount to assist. We have looked at injection moulding and may in the future for new models when volumes allow. However, the tooling costs then outweigh the 3d costs!!

Glad you are happy with the installation and overall practicality of it.

We have added another new product, this time to stop those moments that cost a fortune!!
